We begin our voyage in the Tenglo Yatch Club & Marina sailing seaward Puluqui Island.

The navigation track is estimated in 115 sea miles. Along the journey, sailing the Reloncavi Bay we enjoy the spectacular view of the open sea backed by the volcanoes Osorno, Calbuco, Cerro Puntiagudo, Tronador and the fabulous Andes in all its extension.

Passing by Guar Island it is quite possible to see the friendly Toninas (Chilean dolphins) and many birds.

Continuing our voyage towards the south we reach Huelmo Bay from where we sail through Tautil Pass to the Calbuco Channel until our destination, the quiet and beautiful Puluqui Island. This is our first night onboard.

We navigate towards Mechuque Island crossing the Gulf of Ancud until our first stop, the typical town of Quemchi located on the Grand Island of Chiloe. We can visit the local market with its display of crafts, seafood and colorful fruits and vegetables.

We continue to our destination Mechuque Island arriving in time for dinner. We spend our second night in a calm and remote place called Estero de Mechuque.

We visit the village of Mechuque, admiring the spectacular view of the channels and neighbouring islands. Lunch in a typical “fogon” consisting in grilled meats, seafood ,potatoes and salads. We continue sailing across narrow channels along the islands of Añihue, Punta Voigue and Cheniao, our anchoring place. Overnight.

We navigate towards Llancahue, via the Cheniao Channel and the Gulf of Ancud. Llancahue is an outstanding place where the Andes meet the Ocean. Hornopiren is another particular geographic area where the forests touch the sea waters.

We drop anchor at Isla de los Ciervos (Deer’s Island). an unhabited place worth to explore. In this Protected Natural Reserve, we will have the opportunity to see deers and a great variety of native flora and fauna. Overnight.

We navigate around Hornopiren and Estero Quintupeu visiting the natural thermal pools of Cahuelmo. In the afternoon we reach Puerto Manila our anchoring place to spend the night.

Sailing across Rada Potreros de Cholgo and fabulous Llancahue Channel we pass by small islands admiring wildlife , birds and differents shades of green and blue. After navigate the Gulf of Ancud our next stop is Isla Tabon / Chidhuapi for lunch.

Depending on the weather conditions we continue our voyage back to Puerto Montt or we spend the night in Puluqui, returning to our destination early next morning. Transfer to Punta Piedras Lodge & Marina.
